RUSSIAN STERLET

Material: sterlet - basswood, stand - solid crab apple wood, pebbles - basswood. Acrylic, oil varnish.
Technique: carving, painting.
One of the most secretive inhabitants of Russian rivers, the sterlet, requires exceptionally pure water. Crystal waters wash over the pebbles and its dwelling place. Dynamic fish demonstrates its strong body, slowly exploring the river stream. But its eyes watch closely what is happening around. Another moment - and it will disappear, dissecting space.
